The Inspiration Behind "Beyond Feminity"
Been a woman can be damning! it is sometime inspiring and elevating, but very uniquely challenging.
as a mother of two living in south-west Nigeria, I could have said I had it worst except for global news update, that made me realize women might be an endangered specie of the human race. In as much as there has been all sort of debate about who a woman is and the new generation bringing in on argument of gender been a spectrum, this is probably the worst time to be a woman. Embracing ones femininity is been seen as being inferior or a peon, the lowest of the low. My heart cringes at the thought of the Noesis of this woke generation
The generation has moved away from what the fight is all about, shifting into inconsequential issues, which is moving the focus away from what is needed to mere wants.
Feminism came as a result of great oppression in a patriarchal society. The question is, are we still in a patriarchal society? what do we want? what do we need? are still being oppressed? does the real feminist still in existence? Beyond rhetoric, it is our duty to move beyond the oppressed mentality
In my zeal to create a new community of outstanding women is what inspired me to create this blog. To be able to reach out to many more. To share unpopular opinions (not minding getting crucified for it), redirecting the value-lost back into what it is, creating a society that values family and togetherness.
Many love to share from this side
