Basic Ways To Elevate Your Self-Esteem
Developing one's self esteem is quite individualistic! let's try the following exercise and lets celebrate self!
Exercise 1
Brag about yourself - Look at yourself in the mirror, or take a pen and a paper and brag about who you are and what you are.
This shouldn't be difficult, there some that might still be struggling with this. There are many reason that might be cause of this. Deep hurts and pains sometimes crushes the little believe one have in oneself and elevates or pronounce the insecurities one is still haggling with. Among many other reason, is TOO MUCH HUMILITY! As humility is one major morals that's always praise, one should take into account it's excesses. While trying to be humble, it might sometimes leads to you ridiculing or belittling oneself. If you can't brag about yourself to yourself especially, you down right have low-self esteem.
Exercise 2
The Most Interesting Thing About You- This is one distinct feature of your personality, people often mention and compliment.
This is quite different from the first exercise, this is where your strength lies. The most fascinating thing about you is some sort of aura you exude effortlessly. Knowing this, would help in building your strength and to start working on your weaknesses.
Exercise 3
Describe Yourself in one or two Words- what you are or who you're is best described by you! Nobody can understand you like you do.
If you're struggling with this, you might not be dealing with low self esteem but battling with self-realization. Self-realization entails you knowing your strength, knowing what makes you different and special than others, having a clear knowledge of what your goals, aspiration and dreams is .
Exercise 4
Keep a success File- Whatever you've struggle with in the past and you later achieve success in, write it down. No matter how little the achievement may seems, if you felt fulfilled after overcoming the challenge, write it down.
Achievement and victories are not expectations or nothing special, if you struggle(physically, emotionally, Mentally, etc) to get it, celebrate it.
Revisit this in the next one month and tell me if you're not motivated!
We all struggle about one insecurities or the other, we need to find an anchor and keep ourselves calm in all situation.
Try this again in the next 3 month. We get better day by day
